our Fairfield, CA location in the Abbott Nutrition
Division.Fairfield, Calif., is Abbott's only manufacturing plant
that makes its Zone Perfect and Glucerna nutrition bars, with 180
million bars produced annually. Working here, you'll feel part of a

world.What You'll Work OnThis position maintains the
daily/weekly/monthly finished goods stock and transfer between
sites and is responsible for managing the systems accordingly. This
position includes Warehousing and Inventory tasks, minimal material
ordering, and provides back up to other Material Control roles
within the organization.
- Managing the shipment process to ensure product that is not
approved for shipment does not leave the facility. Manages the
daily "on - hand" pallet quantity within the site Warehouse to
maintain capacity and ensure levels are within safe operating
parameters. Work with Material Control to ensure optimized storage
of materials and finished goods. Requires daily tracking and
cross-functional communication (calls/e-mails/meetings) between
quality and division logistics. Ensure proper labeling of all
Finished Goods , correct and accurate shipment records, and provide
feedback and guidance to ensure accurate
- Timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing
shipments in applicable systems to ensure real time data, items are
dispatched, accurate BOL's, and accurate accounting of inventory.
Responsible for all outgoing Finished Good movement including
quality sample removal and store requisitions. Check for damage and
discrepancies between goods and invoices (includes TPM shipments)
- Maintains the dock scheduling process and in bound dock
scheduling line. Requires close communication with drivers,
supplier logistics, site planning, and warehouse team
- Perform cycle counts, maintain the daily cycle counting
allotment, provide Material Control team allotted daily counts,
record and analyze completed counts. Provides direction on
materials coming up for expiration to ensure used first. Moves
expired material to the designated area for hold or disposition.
Requires daily communication with the Material Control team to
ensure counts are done on time and expiring materials are used or
moved timely
- Subject matter expert for the inventory bin location systems.
Requires training others on the systems, providing guidance on
corrections, and updating as needed for New Product Introduction.
Perform other clerical activities according to the organizations
established policies and procedures. May require attending
site/division NPI meetings and updating procedures as needed
- Assists with trouble shooting issues as they arise and works
with management in developing improvement strategies and execution
plans. Assist Management in directing daily activities and tasks as
needed. Lead project's as needed
- Operate Material handling equipment including forklifts and
other equipment such as yard tractor with appropriate training and
certifications. Load and unload trucks as needed, maintain a GMP
work station and work area, and follow all safety initiatives,
guidelines and procedures. Performs warehousing duties as needed
based on daily work load and resources. Helps maintain site
recycling process
- Must work overtime as required for business needs and
responsible for training back up
- Complies with all regulatory requirements and company
policiesRequired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years Warehouse experience / understanding of
inventory systems
- General proficiencies in Microsoft Office and SAP
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse
business environment.
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor
in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish
projects.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to
effectively communicate at multiple levels in the
organization.
- Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely
manner.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as
attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Occasional or Regularly scheduled overtime is a requirement of
