Job DescriptionSalary: 24.60 - 26.55/hrSUMMARYThis job entails the classification defined below. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs all duties associated with the operation of the mogul and its accessory equipment including: Performs the safe operation of a manual or powered pallet jack, also may be required to operate power lift equipment including specialized (narrow-aisle) equipment. Sets scale weights based on the product that will be demoulded. Performs weight checks to ensure the scale is functioning correctly. Loads empty trucks into the robot cage and moves candy filled trucks to the appropriate location. When necessary, weighing of trucks will be required. Moves scales from the robot area into the mogul when it is necessary to manually catch candy and returns the scales when complete. Use the robot's controls to end batches, manually moves the robot, moves trucks in and out of the robot area, and enters tray count information. Performs basic troubleshooting and makes minor adjustment to correct problems in the robot area. From time to time will wash dirty trays when the robot is not being used for production. Required to perform record-keeping duties, including clerical duties, and performing minor calculations. Prints tags for candy filled trucks. Inherent in each position is a general duty to maintain each respective work area in a safe and sanitary condition. The employee may be required to perform other such duties within the scope of their employment as may be assigned. Regular, predictable, full-time attendance is required as an essential function of this position. Wages, hours, and working conditions are outlined in a Collective Bargaining Agreement between Jelly Belly Candy Company and Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers & Grainmillers International Union, AFL-CIO, Local #125. Overtime as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement is mandatory. An essential function of this job is a requirement to work all hours scheduled.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNo supervisory responsibilities exist in this position. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); prior related work experience preferred or nine (9) months structured, on-the-job training. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs. REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
