Job Description:
The Machine Operator performs varying tasks depending on his or
her primary department. In Building 7, the assembly department
operates under close supervision of the area Supervisor and/or the
Group Leader. The associate works on and around parts that are
energetic in nature and primarily uses mills swagers, extruders,
drying ovens, sieves, various manual tools, and measuring
instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and scales; proper
dismantling and cleaning of all tools and equipment used. This
position will also be assisting the Assembly side of Building 7 as
needed, which includes the utilization of bending fixtures, curing
fixtures, remote saws and mills, and similar equipment.This is a
2nd Shift position. Candidates must be willing and able to work
4:00 pm - 2:30 am Monday - Thursday, with overtime as needed.
Training is conducted during 1st shift for 1- 3 months before
switching to 2nd shift.Compensation: $22.25/hr Starting Rate (1.5
after 8 hours per day)$1.85/hr Shift DifferentialEligible for

Responsibilities: The Machine Operator performs many assembly
operations under direct supervision by the area Supervisor and/or
Group Lead. This job entails: Following safety regulations when
working with, around, and on materials/parts that are energetic in
natureRoutine daily setup, operation, and careful logging of
process parameters along with cleanup of various equipmentMake
accurate measurements with standard measuring instruments and
balances, perform basic calculations and record on proper
documentationOperate computer software for printing labels,
entering shop floor data collection system information,
etc.Communicate potential mechanical and safety issues/concerns
effectivelyBeing alert and recognizing problems with any equipment
and notifying their group lead or supervisor as tolerance limits
approach to avoid the creation of defective materials and
partsCommunicate potential mechanical and safety problems
effectivelyPerform all production-related work assigned by
supervisor and /or group leader in strict accordance with written
proceduresIdentify, control, and dispose of hazardous and
non-hazardous waste, including solvents, energetics, and
leadApplies basic job skills and company policies and procedures to
complete assigned tasksUnderstands document revisions and standards
governing documenting proceduresDemonstrated ability to work
independently and in a group environmentWillingness to take
instruction from mentors and/or trainersOnce proficient, expected
to work more autonomously and have the capacity to train new
associates as needed.Basic Qualifications: HS Diploma. In the
absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is
required.Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent ResidentMust be able
to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.Must be able to read, write, and
understand EnglishMust have the ability to work using written
instructions and simultaneously maintain proper documentationMust
have a good mathematical aptitude (good working knowledge of basic
mathematical principles)Must have basic computer skills with
knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordWillingness to
cross-train and work in all areas of assembly operation plant
widePerforms other duties as required.Must be available for
overtime as needed by the business.Preferred Qualifications: One
year experience in Manufacturing or Assembly work preferred.
