The Packaging Operator must safely operator the various packaging equipment on a 12-hour shift and ensure that both quality and productivity meet Amcor standards.Safety first - be aware of and abide by company safety policies and procedures at all timesComplete quality checks as required and communicate quality issues to the Shift Lead, Shift Supervisor and Quality DepartmentMaintain a high degree of housekeeping at all time, keeping equipment and work area clean and organizedEnsure equipment is in good and safe working condition and communicate to the Shift Lead, Shift Supervisor and Maintenance when mechanical issues arise.Effectively run the packaging equipment, being aware of your surroundings to ensure conveyer lines are free of blockagesAccurately complete all required paperwork and hand in at the end of shiftAttend daily shift meetings and training as requiredAbility to perform duties for 12-hour shift in a plant manufacturing settingComplete all other tasks assignedPhysical Requirements Normal Vision Hearing/Listening Bending Distant Vision Talking/Speaking Standing Near Vision Hand/Finger Dexterity Walking Stooping Pushing/Pulling Kneeling Climbing Carrying (> 50 pounds) Carrying ( Lifting ( Lifting (50+ pounds)AboutYAbout YouHigh school diploma or GEDPrior production related experience preferredAble to effectively communicate safety, quality and production issuesAble to work quickly and complete tasks in a fast-paced production environmentHigh attention to detailSelf-motivated with ability to work individually and as a teamMust be willing to work any shiftWhat we offer youOpportunity for career advancement with a global companyCompetitive medical and dental benefits401k with company matchGainsharing programPaid vacation, sick leave, and holidaysCompany paid life insurance14-16 work days per monthAnd more!Amcor is a thriving S&P 500 organisation listed both on the NYSE (AMCR) and ASX (AMC) with US$13 billion in sales.
