Job Description About this Opportunity: As one of our QC
Metrology Inspectors you will join a team of skilled inspectors
supporting our newly developed and proprietary fabrication process.
You will operate optical measurement equipment and metrology
software to precisely mate components, validate the size and shape
of final assemblies, and generate reports. We will rely on your
strong mechanical aptitude, flexible thinking, and understanding of
basic trigonometry to develop repeatable measurement procedures and
clear acceptance criteria. You will also play a key role in the
continuous improvement quality tracking process, which involves
documenting improvement opportunities, logging reports, analyzing
data, identifying solutions, and tracking performance. Some of the
things You Will Do: Perform dimensional measurement inspections
using FARO or API Laser Trackers and mechanical measurement tools.
Take dimensional measurements that are both accurate and
repeatable. Use the latest Laser Trackers to scan, locate and place
mating frames and fixtures. Visually inspect parts for damage and
defects. Maintain inspection equipment, and keep equipment and
parts free from damage during the inspection process. Prepare
inspection reports and manage the inspection report filing system.
Validate assemblies are within tolerance and provide clear reports
articulating where any assemblies are out of tolerance. What
We---re Looking For: 3 years of experience in tight tolerance
production/job shop environment (machinist, structural steel,
piping, etc.) or survey team. Certified ASQ Inspector is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to learn new technical software
applications and generate clear reports. Ability to read and
understand mechanical drawings and manipulate 3D CAD models. Strong
PC skills including email, MS Office, data backup, and report
generation. Ability to use material handling equipment such as a
gantry crane, pallet jack, and/or forklift. Ability to work across
teams in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to bend and twist,
walk or stand continuously through an 8 hour shift and
lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds. Some of the Things We Offer: Health
