Under limited supervision: Performs overall processing functions for Returned Deposited Items, Unposted Items, Account Verifications, Credit Ratings, and Verification of Deposits, efficiently and accurately. Ability to manage multiple desk assignments while keeping well organized to meet deadlines.

  • Returned Deposited Items:
  • Knowledge of processing returned checks

  • Research

  • Use of TRIPS Incoming to process returned deposited items

  • Balance of Suspense items

  • Unposted Items:

  • Research and determine distribution of items using correct account numbers and tran-codes.

  • Knowledge of ACH rules and regulations

  • Working understanding of ACHPS

  • Use of TRIPS Exceptions to process Unposted items

  • VOD/Credit Ratings:

  • Verification of Deposits

  • Verification of Assets

  • Account Confirmations

  • Credit Ratings

  • Perform additional job responsibilities as required and assist with customer inquiries and problem resolution in all above tasks.

  • Know Regulations H, P, CC, & E

  • Minimum Knowledge, Prior Work Experience, and Skills needed to Perform Job Functions :

Typically 3 or more years of progressively more responsible work experiences where he/she has gained in-depth knowledge of most of the processing functions of the department. Strong PC and general office equipment skills. Excellent analytical, communication, and research skills. Some college level classes in business or related subjects preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Organization skills necessary to meet deadlines.

  • Physical Demands :

  • Sitting for long periods keying or retrieving data using a PC keyboard. May be required to lift items up to 50 lbs. Must be mobile enough to move between and around work area.

  • Mental Demands :

  • Utilize knowledge of bank products, policies and legal requirements to process work assignments and explain procedures to staff members.
  • Prioritize work assignments to ensure established time frames are met.
  • Pay attention to details to ensure required information is accurately recorded in system.
  • Ability to identify and determine how to resolve situations which may pose a potential risk to the bank or customer.

  • Equipment Used to Perform Functions :

  • Various machines, PC, telephone, fax, printer, copier and calculator.

  • Decision Making

    • Determine best methods to employ to resolve customer inquiries.
  • Identify and notify supervisor or manager of the potential risks a delay in services or inaccurate transaction may have.
  • Perform all research necessary to correct identified errors.

  • Financial Impact :
  • Depending on assignments processed through assigned department range from $2,000 to $5,000,000 per month.
