The Program Operations Manager (POM) is responsible for the
direction of operations resources that are deployed to the program.
The POM will work with the program team this function effectively
manages the manufacturing, testing, and delivery of the end
product. The successful candidate will additionally be required to
adhere to all functional procedures, compliance to budgets, as well
as meeting all contracted schedules.
Support new program proposals by estimating Manufacturing
Engineering tasks, tooling costs and support development of
Establish touch labor cost targets on shop/lab activities as
Define tool and gage requirements
Ensure adequate tools and gages are available when needed in the
Provide support to all activities during the fabrication of the
initial unit (first article) of each specific design to resolve
Review and implement engineering changes to determine
feasibility, producibility and delta labor impact
Determine, implement and lead process improvement opportunities,
business unit initiatives and corrective actions.
Development of a Master Manufacturing Plan, a Program Operating
Plan, and a Master Schedule
Providing program status reports to the customer and upper
- Assisting Purchasing during negotiations of major subcontracted
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate
discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree
in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience.
In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is
Ability to work closely with internal/ external customers
Ability to work on tight schedules - to meet program
plans/scheduled and budgets from Operations
- Working knowledge of SAP
