Our Supply group is responsible for brewing, packaging and shipping the famous Budweiser beer. They also oversee aluminum can manufacturing, barley fields, hop farms and a rice mill. The Sr. Environment and Safety manager out of Fairfield will sit on the Senior Leadership Team and have two direct reports. Strong leadership skills, a comfort level with change, and the ability to lead and influence others will be imperative to success in this role. Promote a healthy and safe workplace. Serves as the technical resource for all safety compliance areas. Promote active employee involvement in safety processes. Analyzes statistical data from injury/illness/loss reports and applies appropriate risk management process controls. Ensures training and documentation is maintained with applicable laws and regulations. Interacts regularly with bargaining work force to promote safety awareness and work to resolve safety issues and concerns. Ensures that all operations are conducted in accordance with all existing federal, state, local, corporate, and EHS operating policies and procedures, including site inspection and working with regulatory personnel including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, NJDEP, DOT, Cal-OSHA, CUPA, BAAQMD, local Sewer District, CA Water Resources Control Board, Health Department and other varied local, state and federal government officials. Performs audits of written programs, facility equipment, and processes for potential safety and health hazards. Create and manage a database for all regulatory permits and related documents. Identify, recommend and inspires change and improvement in facility operation, policies and procedures. Develop standard protocols to conduct routine inspections and audits to assure continued compliance with site EHS requirements, commitments and procedures. Own the investigation of any facility deviations and coordinate the development of action plans. Oversee the preparation of all required routine and non-routine EHS documentation and reports to corporate and regulatory agencies. Oversight of all aspects of the company's recycling, solid, hazardous, bio-hazardous, and universal waste programs. Direct and oversee property conservation issues, project review, emergency planning and business resumption initiatives, and coordination EHS issues. Develop and support necessary training initiatives with preparation, presentation of required EHS training and training programs. Oversight of Emergency Response Team training. Lead for on-site contracted security team Bachelor's degree required in safety, environmental or other related disciplines. Proficient with CAL OSHA regulations. Minimum 3 years' experience preferred. Experience with the workers compensation process, managing relationships with key stakeholders Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaboratively work with all levels of the organization. Effective decision making and a willingness to use available resources to accomplish goals. Acts with integrity in all EHS&S matters to maintain EHS&S compliance and excellence. Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills. Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
