Job Description:

Walmart Inc. is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer, Front End to lead the design and implementation of our next-generation front-end systems for our e-commerce sites. As a key member of our IT department, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our digital transformation, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and highly responsive user interface for millions of our customers worldwide. This position is crucial in leveraging the latest in front-end technologies to create scalable, efficient, and immersive online shopping experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align technology developments with business goals, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence. Lead a team of front-end developers in designing, implementing, and optimizing web applications. Craft and maintain high-quality, scalable, and innovative front-end features. Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and maintain the integrity of the user experience. Mentor junior engineers, overseeing their development and integration into high-performing teams. Stay ahead of emerging front-end technologies and trends to incorporate them into strategies and practices. Ensure consistent performance across all major browsers and devices. Lead code reviews, maintain code quality, and ensure best practices in front-end architecture. Expert proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks like React or Angular. Strong understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility, and usability. Experience with responsive and adaptive design. Solid skills in API design and consuming RESTful services. Experience with front-end testing frameworks and tools. Strong problem solving and communication skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certifications in front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular) are preferred. PMP or similar project management certifications advantageous.
