Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatric CVICU Location: San Francisco, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,931 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 26 Weeks Start Date: 3/10/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour; Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit; equivalent experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit may be considered License: California Registered Nurse License Certifications: AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS Must-Have: Ability to float to other facilities; prior travel experience; teaching hospital experience preferred Description: This position requires the ability to care for neonates, children, and adolescents in a critical care setting. Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise in Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care, including heart transplantation and ECMO management. Experience with key procedures such as post pacemaker insertion and management of ventricular assist devices is essential. Responsibilities include starting and maintaining IVs, managing acute and chronic renal failure, and providing tracheostomy care. Candidates must possess skills in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing hemodynamic monitoring. Knowledge of pediatric dosage calculations and administration of anti-seizure medications is required. Applicants should be familiar with infection control protocols and the administration of blood and blood products. Ability to monitor and manage ventilated patients and provide procedural sedation is expected. All nursing positions require a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Candidates will need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster prior to employment. This role involves adhering to strict compliance and floating policies as assigned. Position entails participation in both day and night shifts, with a patient care ratio of 2:1. Weekend coverage is expected, with a minimum of four weekend shifts every four weeks. Pre-approved time off must be discussed and approved prior to employment. Modules related to training will be required during the pre-start and annually.
