Dosimetrist Location: Berkeley, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,639 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Dosimetrist Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Dosimetrist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (09:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Valid State License required Certifications: CMD required Must-Have: Epic charting system experience preferred Background check policy noted prior to submission Description: Provides care to patients receiving radiation therapy treatments. Familiar with the physical and geometric characteristics of radiation equipment and radioactive sources commonly used. Possesses the training and expertise necessary to measure and generate radiation dose distributions and calculations. Works under the direction of an Oncologist and/or Medical Physicist. Skilled in various radiation therapy techniques including tumor localization and respiratory gating. Experienced in 4D CT simulation and electron beam therapy. Knowledgeable in film dosimetry, secondary MU calculation software, and imaging techniques. Proficient in dose-volume histogram analysis, field shaping, and plan evaluation against clinical protocols. Capable of performing QA for IMRT/VMAT/SBRT plans. Familiar with motion management techniques and Stereotactic Radiosurgery. Must be prepared to collaborate interprofessionally with support services. Primarily works with a patient population that includes adults and geriatrics. Handles a daily census of 30-40 patients with various diagnoses.
