The OB Triage function is included here if performed by staff in this department. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment./n/nJob Requirements:/nEducation and Work Experience:/nBachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred/nAcute care facility experience: Preferred/nLicenses/Certifications:/nRegistered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required/nCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required/nFacility Specific License/Certifications:/nPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or RQIPALS: Required/nAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or RQIACLS: Required/nDepartment Specific License/Certifications:/nNeonatal Resuscitation (NRP): Required/nEssential Functions:/n/nCollects relevant data pertinent to the patient?s health or situation. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient?s situation./nCollaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
