Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pediatrics Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/30/2025 Duration: 24 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Telephonic Pediatric Advice Nurse needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Los Altos, CA! Top Skills Should You Possess: At least one (1) year of experience in a Pediatrics setting What You’ll Be Doing: Function as a primary liaison between patient and physician, via phone; implement the entire nursing process to include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation for an assigned group of patients and provides quality patient care that is efficient, effective and evidence based Provide general education and nursing care to patients via telephone Respond to and resolve patient/family questions and needs Triage and schedule patients as appropriate, ensuring appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations Document clinical information, including patient phone calls and maintain accurate and complete patient documentation according to medical profession standards; accurately document all patient encounter, phone triage, test results and office visits Observe and/or record and report patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to clinicians Act as a liaison, coordinate and integrate service for patients by continually collaborating with physician(s) Communicate the appropriate referral choice to community physicians Coordinate and integrate services within the clinic by continually collaborating with physician(s) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm (with rotating Saturdays) What You Need to Bring to the Table: Active and unrestricted California RN license Associates Degree in Nursing; Bachelors degree preferred Current CPR certification Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience Previous experience in Pediatrics required Experience in an electronic medical record (EMR, such as Epic) preferred Knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations and practices to give and evaluate patient care Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment Knowledge of medical chart reporting and records Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care Ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment Any pay ranges displayed are estimations which may have been provided by job boards.
