Matrix Providers is hiring a Radiation Therapist to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in Fairfield, CA
  • Employment Status: Full Time
  • Compensation: $47.86 To $51.50 Per Hour.
  • Schedule: Shift will vary between Mon-Fri 6:30 am - 3:00 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Requirements: The Radiation Therapy Technologist must have and meet the following:
    • Degree: Certificate.
    • Education : A certificate of Radiation Therapy from an accredited institution is required. Graduate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
    • Certification: Current registration as a Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Experience: Two years of experience as a Radiation Therapist under the supervision of either a board-certified radiation oncologist or a radiotherapy physicist. Job Summary:
      • Working knowledge of current radiation therapy treatment/simulation practices. --- Independently carry out all tasks in radiation therapy under the guidance of the Chief Therapist. --- Adhere to radiation safety policies and procedures in accordance with Radiation Oncology Department. --- Accurately interprets radiation therapy treatment prescriptions. --- Consistently reproduces initial simulation set-up for daily treatment to ensure patient alignment and quality treatment. --- Accurately locates isocenter using various imaging techniques. --- Operates CT simulator, providing reproducible patient position set-ups for daily treatments. --- Assures that all radiation therapy procedures are performed in accordance with established protocols and only upon the order of a person who is lawfully authorized to prescribe radiation therapy. --- Performs warm-up and quality control checks on the radiation therapy treatment machines prior to the first scheduled appointment. Ensures all equipment operates in a satisfactory and safe manner through daily checks, prompt reporting of defects to the physicist, and follow-up to ensure repairs are satisfactorily executed. --- Experience using Varian Trubeam and ARIA.
