Job DetailsJob Location: La Amistad - San Francisco, CASalary Range: $5783.00 Salary/monthDescriptionLa Amistad, San FranciscoLa Amistad is a transitional residential treatment program established in 1978. La Amistad emphasizes service to the Spanish-speaking community, with bi-cultural, bi-lingual Spanish-speaking staff available. The program offers day treatment based on client-led treatment plans developed in collaboration with staff. Goals will vary according to resident needs, but each client develops her own unique path to independence after treatment. Maximum length of stay is three months. La Amistad is located in San Francisco's Mission district.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Assistant Director supervises staff of this adult psychiatric acute residential treatment program. Generally, the Assistant Director manages the flow of clients into and out of the program. Specific functions are outlined in the job description.Generally, Assistant Director Duties IncludePromoting the philosophy of social rehabilitation as it applies to residential treatment; developing and maintaining good working relationships with client referral sources and other related mental health programs; reviewing all charts and client records; assisting in staff training; coordinating the staff schedule and coordinating the collection of client data. Maintain computer requirements of the City and County of San Francisco Community Behavioral Health Services. In addition, the Assistant Director advocates for and participates in the maintenance of the facility and performs all duties of the Counselor position as necessary and appropriate.Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Master's degree (in a mental health related field preferred) and a minimum of three years experience in mental health. Specific experience in residential treatment and/or knowledge of social rehabilitation is required. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, clients and other providers both orally and in writing. Basic word processing skills; maintain computer requirements of the City and County of San Francisco Community Behavioral Health Services.Must demonstrate an acceptable level of maturity, good judgment and emotional stability. Must be able to negotiate several flights of stairs during each work shift and lift and carry 20lb packages several times during each work shift.Progress Foundation is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce.
