Description:Job Description - Program ManagerJob Title: Program ManagerCompany Name: Biomerics Interventional Medical PlasticsLocation: Fairfield, CAPosition Type: Full Time, EmployeePay: Salary, DOEJob description:As a Program Manager at Biomerics, you will be responsible for project management and leadership to support the execution of new component manufacturing projects from part design to first commercial run. You will manage a team consisting of engineers and resources assigned from other departments as dictated by the requirements of the project and will be expected to utilize project management best practices to deliver projects on-time and in-budget. A Program Manager must be an effective leader and coordinate with internal functions such as RA/QA, finance, operations, etc., and external vendors to ensure deliverables are met. A critical function of this position is to interface with customers as the primary point-of-contact, and you will be responsible for respectfully serving customers through regular updates, change management, project documentation (project plans, risk analysis, technical documentation, communication plans, etc.), and technical reviews. The ideal candidate will have an effective blend of business acumen and technical savvy, big-picture vision while being able to address tactical/technical issues, and a dynamic leader that can influence and challenge a team while still being sensitive to the needs and development of team members and customers.Roles and responsibilities include: - Responsible for leading the new product development cycle and helping our customers through the key design engineering, quality, manufacturing, and regulatory deliverables for each stage of the process. - Utilize project management best practices to develop detailed project schedules identifying critical path, constraints, contingencies, and mitigations to achieve the target schedule and budget. - Ensure that key requirements and interdependencies between design control, regulatory compliance, customer requirements, manufacturing, and quality are well understood and built into the project plan. Continually evaluate progress to plan and when needed find creative solutions to issues or proactively take measures to ensure key deliverable and milestones are met. - Develop team members and ensure they have the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to be successful. - May be required to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Advise/update senior management and project stakeholders on strategies and status of ongoing or potential customer programs. - Participate in the quoting process by estimating scope of work, resource needs, technical requirements, etc. - Develop/Implement/Improve processes and procedures in a dynamic and growing business environment. - Maintain a high level of personal accountability to business goals and milestones, and motivate team members to reach their potential to meet project and personal progress objectives. - Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering field preferred; other related fields will be considered in conjunction with experience and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. - Minimum of 5 years experience managing complex cross-functional programs and projects, preferably in the medical device or healthcare environment. - Minimum of 3 years experience preferred managing direct reports to meet business deliverables, manage performance issues, and help associates with their career development to achieve their full potential. - Experience working with customers to define their requirements and then translating those into product requirements. - Experience managing projects within a quality management system for regulated medical devices (FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485). - Skilled in using business and project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Visio, Teams, etc. - Solid project management background utilizing best practices to manage project, schedule, scope, budget, and risk mitigation. - Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), facilitation, collaboration, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills. - Ability to problem solve and provide creative solutions to challenging opportunities. - Excellent prioritization and organizational skills in order to manage multiple responsibilities at once with little to no supervision. - Ability to respond well to feedback and maintain a positive attitude. - Excellent customer service skills and proactively looks for opportunities to add value. - High level of initiative and flexibility in adapting to changing needs of a dynamic work environment. - Experience with plastic manufacturing methods including pressure thermoforming, liquid resin casting, CNC machining, and additive manufacturing preferred.About BiomericsBiomerics is the leading, vertically integrated, mid-market medical device contract manufacturer in the interventional device market.
