True Grit.ABOUT THIS ROLEWhile working closely with our CFO the
Accountant with East Bay Tire will process payroll, review
statements, reconcile benefit statements/billings, and work closely
with General Ledger Accounts. The accountant will support the
accounting team with various accounting/financial functions. To be
successful you will have a background in payroll, tax filings, and
audits. The ability to collaborate, come up with new innovative
solutions to current payroll processes, and be able to work in a
fast-paced environment is necessary.DUTIES INCLUDEGeneral Ledger &
AccountingPerform various reconciliations including bank
statements, prepaids, accruals and other general ledger
accountsReview and reconcile company credit cards including
collaborating across departments to obtain necessary supportHandle
bookkeeping for multiple related entities: retreading operation,
logistics and single asset real estate holdings using
QuickBooksAssist with month-end and year-end closeAssist A/P team
with vendor statement reconciliations, invoice, and payment
processingSupport various business filings including sales tax,
business property tax, registration, and FET.Participate in process
improvement and automation initiativesPayroll Processing and
ReconciliationImplements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing
and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of
payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments,
taxes, and other deductions.Ensures accurate and timely processing
of payroll updates including new hires, accruals, terminations, and
changes to pay rates.Prepares and maintains accurate records and
reports of payroll transactions.Ensures compliance with federal,
state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best
practices.Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation
to auditors.Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting
software, systems, and procedures.Ensures all deductions are set up
correctly, audits bills to ensure correct deductions are set up,
and reconciles bills for proper billingTrains managers on how to
scrub timecards and perform last scrub to ensure timecards
accurately reflect hours workedSets up employees for payroll and
timekeeping in HRIS software system (iSolved)Prepares invoices for
employees out of on leaves of absence and ensures payments are
collectedEnters all 401k deductions, loans, and changes to 401k
contributionsSets up new locations, ensures payroll taxes,
unemployment insurance, and other regulatory and statutory items
are set up and paidAnswers payroll questions, resolves payroll
issues, re-issue lost paychecks or direct deposits that do not go
throughProcess final paychecks for employee separationsOversee
processing of monthly commissions, bonus payments, referral
bonuses, gift card tax reporting, reimbursements, and all other pay
for employeesEnsure garnishments, levy's and other payments are
paid to respective agenciesQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in
accounting, Finance or EconomicsMinimum of 4 years' experience in
an office or administrative role2 years' experience processing
payrollExperience working with iSolved preferred but not
requiredBilingual PreferredDemonstrated organizational
capabilities, detail oriented, ability to prioritize and handle
multiple priorities simultaneouslyAbility to work independently
with minimal supervisionExcellent listening skills and strong
communication skillsA strong work ethic and a can-do
attitudeSelf-motivated and self-starterExcellent time management
skillsAbility to identify and resolve issues or problems.Proficient
computer skills in Microsoft 365 Products, Adobe Suite Products,
